SHOCKING: EMPD officers fatally shot and killed en route to work

TEMBISA – Two Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Intervention Unit Officers were gunned down by ruthless criminals at Umthambeka Section, in the Tembisa area on Thursday evening, 12 June.
 
It is alleged that the two (2) EMPD Specialized Services Officers, were reporting for night shift duty enroute to collect a colleague, while waiting for their colleague at a house at Extension 11, when they were confronted by unknown armed criminals who opened fire, fatally wounding the Officers. The suspects robbed the Officers of their service pistols and fled on foot, where an unknown getaway vehicle was waiting for them to flee the scene.
 
This comes as a great lost for the EMPD and the City of Ekurhuleni. Law enforcement Officers are on the ground to track down those responsible for this heinous crime and will face the full might of the law.
 
“Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and colleagues,” said the Acting Chief of Police, Mr. J.D Mkhwanazi.

DURBAN -  The eThekwini Municipality's Recreation and Parks Directorate, working together with the City's Emergency Services, are attending to multiple incidents across the city following strong winds that swept through eThekwini this afternoon and early evening, uprooting trees and disrupting traffic in several communities. No injuries have been reported at this stage. Since last night, 23 fallen trees had been reported across the city. Penuel "The Black Pen" Mlotshwa makes his vote public

JOHANNESBURG - Podcaster and activist Penuel "The Black Pen" Mlotshwa has made his vote known for the upcoming Local Government Elections. The Association says if a meeting with Roads and Transport MEC, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela isn't fruitful and its memorandum of demands aren't met, consequently this force them to disrupt services for seven days.
